BURNLEY spent almost half a million pounds on agents fees in the year to September 30, according to figures released by the Turf Moor club.

The £468,398 spent by the Clarets was the lowest sum of all 20 Premier League clubs for the period of October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009.

That figure pales into insignificance compared to the £12.875 million Manchester City handed over to agents.

The report showed that a total of £70.69m was spent by Premier League clubs.
