BENNI McCarthy was the subject of speculation once more yesterday but no showdown meeting is scheduled and Blackburn Rovers do not expect the South African to leave.
McCarthy, linked with a return to Spain or Portugal, said: “I’m open to anything.
"A lot can happen but I do not want to think too far ahead.
"Some clubs have asked about me and that is normal because they are familiar with me.
"They would make good destinations if I eventually decide to leave the Premier League.
"Last season could have been better, but the team managed to stay in the Premier League and that is the most important thing for the fans.
"On a personal level, I am not too satisfied because I perhaps should have had more opportunities than my other team-mates.
"But it is a decision that the manager makes and I accept what he says.
"Nobody can doubt my professionalism in the game."
