BLACKBURN Rovers believe Gael Givet will only get better after the Frenchman yesterday completed his permanent move to Ewood Park on a four-year deal.
Rovers agreed a fee with Marseille, thought to be around £3.5m, when they signed the defender on loan until the end of the season in January.
The 27-year-old had never played in English football before but proved to be a versatile addition, impressing at both left back and centre back, and it had long been expected that his move to Rovers would be made permanent.
That deal was finally completed yesterday morning, with boss Sam Allardyce labelling it ‘a critical signing’.
“Gael made a massive impact last season while on loan here and I think he can get even better,” he said.
