Barnoldswick v Edenfield, Baxenden v Settle, Blackburn N v Gt Harwood, Cherry Tree v Whalley, Clitheroe v Padiham, Oswaldtwistle v Earby, Read v Ribblesdale W
SETTLE are the latest side to try and stop the Baxenden march as they go to Back Lane tomorrow.
The Yorkshiremen have won five and lost six of their games this season - and that is something of a surprise given their talent-packed squad.
And they must hit top form if they are to stop Baxenden’s juggernaut-like drive towards a first Ribblesdale League crown since 1993.
Ian Austin and his men have won all 11 league games this season - and all nine cup matches.
That 20-game perfect start has seen Austin’s men installed as red-hot favourites for the league, Ramsbottom Cup, 20/20 and Lancashire Cup.
But the skipper of one of the chasing sides reckons a clean sweep would be nigh on impossible.
“I think it is a really tall order,” said Earby’s Stephen Hipgrave.
“They are a tremendous side, of that there is no doubt, but to go right through the season is a big ask.
"And if injuries and holidays kick in, then you never know what will happen.”
Hipgrave’s Earby, who face Baxenden three times in three games next weekend, go to Oswaldtwistle, while second-placed Read look to bounce back after two defeats when they play Ribblesdale Wanderers.
Bottom club Whalley face Cherry Tree, who are in a bad runt, while Blackburn Northern, who are sliding down the table, welcome in-form reigning champions Great Harwood to Pleckgate Road.
