Rishton United FC will be staging the second Siobhan Cooper Memorial Cup at AFC Darwen’s Anchor Ground on June 27.
The match between Rishton players and ‘legends’ will be played in remeberance of Siobhan, who was a great servant of the club but sadly passed away last April.
This year’s event is raising money for the East Lancs Hospice who helped to care for and support Siobhan in her final battle against cancer.
Last years event raised £1,000 which was donated to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and it is hoped that this year’s event will be as good if not better.
The match kicks off at 2pm but entertaiment for all begins at 1pm followed by lots of fun at half-time. Entertaiment continues into the evening with a disco at the Station Arms, Rishton, families welcome.
