NEWLY promoted Burnley were today expected to sell out their 15,000 allocation for season tickets.
Around 7,000 existing season ticket holders are entitled to free Premier League football for the 2009/10 campaign under chairman Barry Kilby’s Premier League Pledge, while a further 8,000 were put on sale.
And in response to fans queuing around the ground to guarantee their seats for Premier League football come August, the club has not ruled out the possibility of making more available.
The David Fishwick Stand has been used to house away fans, but opening it up for home supporters is an option that has already been mooted.
Officials are continuing to look into the David Fishwick Stand for both sets of supporters, and after meetings with police and safety experts have been told there are enough turnstiles to make it viable.
Finer details have to be ironed out and a decision is not expected until next week.
