A COUPLE enjoyed a second great result at Wembley – after getting engaged at half-time.

Gareth Williams, high on Burnley’s 1-0 lead over Sheffield United, proposed to his girlfriend Billie-Jo Fallows.

Gareth, 26, of Rosegrove, said: “I knew it was going to be a memorable occasion for us, watching the Clarets at Wembley, so I thought I would make it extra special by proposing.

“I knew I would have to take my chances during the game.

"I didn’t want to risk Sheffield getting a goal in and putting a dampener on it so as we were winning at half time I asked her then.”

Billie-Jo, who has daughter Tegan, four, with Gareth, said: “The engagement was the biggest shock – I always knew that Burnley would win.”
