A TOUCH of the Lakeside came to The Clifton Hotel in the final qualifying round of its darts knockout competition.

England internationals Steve Bunting and Dave Chisnall, who both played in the World BDO Championships at the Lakeside in January, turned up at the Blackburn pub.

Both won comfortably through the grand final which takes place on March 18.

Organiser Danny Burns said: “The presence of Steve and Dave certainly turned a few heads.

“It is the first time that two players from the Lakeside World Darts Championships have been in the same venue.

“But credit to them for not forgetting darts at grass roots level.

“The final should be a real cracker with 10 county players and three England players among the 16.”
