SO the idiots that thought they could hurl abuse at Sol Campbell during Tottenham's visit to Portsmouth are going to get the comeuppance. Great.
For too long, a minority of fans have seen it as a privilege that you bought with a ticket that you could do or say anything you liked inside a football ground and get away with it. Wrong.
Rovers fans will remember Jason Perryman, who made monkey gestures at former striker Dwight Yorke when he was playing for Birmingham City.
He got a five-year ban and could be back in the stands next year. If he is, I hope he's learned his lesson.
But now police are slowly but surely closing in on these "fans" who thought that they could hurl disgusting abuse at another fellow human being and have the anonymity of a mob to hide in.
It makes me happy to see justice being done.
I hope the same is metered out to the idiots who threw coins at Didier Drogba during Burnley's fantastic win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Drobga's served his punishment, why should the other guilty parties not do the same?
