STEVEN Thompson's equaliser 14 minutes from time salvaged a point for Burnley against Cardiff last night.
Robbie Blake gave the Clarets a 14th minute lead but goals from Jay Bothroyd, on 26 minutes, and Wayne Routledge just a couple of minutes after the re-start gave the Bluebirds the lead.
Gabor Gyepes went close for the visitors, and then Thompson saw a header bounce just the wrong side of the post.
But his aim was better late on as he turned home Blake's cross.
The Clarets stay fourth in the table.
