ROSSENDALE United have appointed Iain McLellan as assistant-manager to complete the new managerial team structure at Dark Lane.
He joins Phil Eastwood, who was given the manager’s job recently after a short spell as caretaker-manager.
During his time as a player, McLellan turned out for a number of local clubs, including Bacup Borough, Radcliffe Borough and Accrington Stanley.
He’s also had some managerial experience, having had stints as assistant-manager at Salford City and Ramsbottom United.
McLellan said: “I’m excited at being given the chance to help Phil develop the team.
“I’ve always regarded Rossendale as a big club and one with lots of potential.”
Eastwood added: “He’s played football at many levels and I’m sure that experience will be invaluable to our squad.
“Added to that, it’s good to have an assistant with his enthusiasm and ambition.”
