There was no place for Wade Elliott as Burnley manager Owen Coyle named the same starting XI that defeated Derby on Saturday.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger again relied on his youngsters for the Carling Cup quarter-final tie at Turf Moor.
Welsh teenager Aaron Ramsey and 16-year-old Jack Wilshere were among those included in the Gunners’ starting line-up against the Coca-Cola Championship side.
Wenger also handed a debut to 19-year-old defender Paul Rodgers with Mikael Silvestre and Nicklas Bendtner the most experienced players in the team.
