BURNLEY'S Carling Cup game against Arsenal tonight will NOT be affected by today's snow and ice, the club confirmed.
By 7pm, a Clarets spokesman confirmed that the pitch and stands are in good condition.
However, fans have been warned to get to Turf Moor early tonight and take extra care as the snow continues to fall.
Police say they do not expect the contingent of Gunners fans travelling up from London to cause any traffic problems.
But officers are warning that the day's weather may make driving and parking conditions hazardous.
Sgt Gareth Hill, from the Colne road policing unit, said: "We don't anticipate too many problems in Burnley town centre.
"However, people attending the game should take extra care with the icy roads."
A Burnley club statement said: "The pitch and the surrounds are clear of snow, the undersoil heating is on and as of 3pm there is no pitch inspection planned.
"Burnley Football Club does not anticipate any problems with the weather and expects the game to go ahead as planned."
