PADIHAM reached the last eight of the Vodkat First Division Trophy with victory over Leek CSOB on Saturday.
It was a fine win for Padiham but just how much spectators saw of it is another matter after fog engulfed the Arbories.
For the record, Padiham went ahead a minute before half time when Paul Walker’s cross was volleyed on to the crossbar by Paul Fildes. Robert Grimes was on hand to head in the rebound.
The second goal came a minute into the second half as Tom Bradley’s shot was only partially saved by the Leek goalkeeper and Fildes followed up to smash home an angled shot.
