WADE Elliott insists his former boss Sean O’Driscoll will have meticulously planned Burnley’s downfall at Turf Moor today.
The Clarets are expected to continue their rich vein of form when they host the Championship’s rock-bottom side Doncaster Rovers.
But despite the Yorkshire side’s struggling start to the campaign, Clarets winger Elliott believes Rovers are much better than their league position suggests.
The 29-year-old is an admirer of Rovers manager O’Driscoll – and his right-hand man Richard O’Kelly – having played under the duo during his time at Bournemouth.
“I was with Sean and Richard for a good four or five years and I know what they will be saying to their players,” said Elliott.
“They will come here, be well organised, and be briefed on what we are all about.
“Everyone has seen how well Doncaster have done over the last year or so.
“Even this season, I don’t think anybody has given them a good going over.
“Doncaster will be tough to break down, I’m sure of that.
“Sean will come here, know that the crowd will be expecting us to get a result, and try his hardest to get a result. This will be a difficult game.”
