BURNLEY’S Turf Moor ticket office yesterday had its busiest day in more than 10 years as more than 8,000 tickets were sold for the forthcoming Carling Cup clash with giants Arsenal.
Tickets for the quarter final, which takes place at Turf Moor on December 2, went on sale yesterday morning to season ticket holders and they were in big demand in the wake of last week’s shock win at Chelsea.
Ticket office manager Elaine Clare said: “I’ve been working at the club for over 10 years and this is the busiest day I have experienced.”
The club expect the ticket office to remain busy throughout the week and have respectfully reminded season ticket holders not to leave it too late if they wish to buy multiple tickets.
