IN-FORM Burnley winger Chris Eagles’ injury isn’t expected to be as serious as first feared.
The former Manchester United midfielder was carried off on a stretcher after collapsing while trying to defend a QPR attack in the win at Loftus Road on Saturday.
But Burnley manager Owen Coyle doesn’t anticipate a lengthy spell on the sidelines for his summer signing.
“Initially my feeling was that he’d done his hamstring but I think what’s happened is that he’s turned his ankle, so hopefully it won’t be too long until he’s back.
"He came out at the end,” he said.
“Young kids are generally quick healers, and I know he’s desperate to keep his place in the team, because he knows the quality that’s waiting there to get back in.
“He had to be patient himself when he was out but he is showing undoubted quality, and it’s terrific for us to have.”
