Padiham bounced back from their midweek Lancashire Co-Operative Challenge Trophy defeat to win away at Eccleshall in the Vodkat League Premier Division.
However, the home side made it difficult for the Storks and it was not until the 66th that Padiham made the breakthrough, when Robbie Smith scored from the penalty spot.
Paul Fildes netted a second in added-on time to make the points safe, but both sides were disappointed to have players sent off for picking up two yellow cards.
Robert Grimes, on 62 minutes for Padiham, and Dwayne Spence, for Eccleshall on 75 minutes, were the men dismissed.
