RAMSBOTTOM United threw away a three-goal half-time lead as – staggeringly – they contrived to lose a seven-goal thriller at the Riverside.
The Rams looked set for all three points after sweeping Silsden aside in the opening half.
Andy Sensale sent them on their way after three minutes, while more goals followed from Jon Stevenson, on 13 minutes, and then Mark Westhead before the half-time interval.
However, Andy Feeley’s men capitulated after the break.
Silsden reduced the deficit immediately after the break, with Martin Bland pulling a goal back.
Aaron Hollindrake added a second for the visitors on 54 minutes and, with 10 minutes remaining, Shaun Airey levelled the scoreline.
But worse was to follow for Ramsbottom in the last minute when Andy King netted Silsden’s winner.
