BACUP boss Brent Peters is happy with his side’s start to the season as they prepare to host Maine Road in the Vodkat League Premier Division tomorrow.
Bacup, who won at Atherton LR in the Lancashire FA United Co-operative Challenge Trophy on Tuesday, are currently 10th in the table but have a game in hand over many of their rivals.
Peters, who is without suspended skipper Davey Luker but may welcome back Dominic Slaven (groin), said: “It was a good performance on Tuesday and if we want to force our way in there at the business end of the season we have to be consistent in our performances.
“I’ve been quite pleased with the way we’ve set off this season.
“I always say that at Christmas you want to be in touch but not right up there because that just adds to the pressure.”
