ROSSENDALE United caretaker boss Phil Eastwood will decide in the next few weeks whether he is able to take on the job on a permanent basis.
The ex-Burnley striker, who scored twice in Saturday’s draw with Garforth on Saturday, has been in charge since Derek Egan left two weeks ago because of finanical constraints.
Eastwood has been unable to halt a run of 11 games without a win but believes they can get a result at play-off chasing Durham City in UniBond First Division North tomorrow.
The 30-year-old, who has been looking to strengthen his squad this week, said: “This job is something I’ve wanted to do but I didn’t expect to get it so early.
“One or two weeks hasn’t really been long enough to judge but if I feel I can do it justice I’ll take the job. If not, I’ll be honest and let someone else take it on.
“We’ve been playing well of late and we just need to cut out the mistakes.
"It will be a tough game at Durham but there’s no reason why we can’t get a result.”
