BLACKBURN Rovers boss Paul Ince praised nineteen-year-old Andy Haworth, who made his senior debut in the win at Sunderland last night.
“Andy did ever so well. He is a young kid and is one for the future.
"These games you have to bleed players in, although we are not taking it for granted at all."
Howarth played the first 65 minutes before making way for Roque Santa Cruz.
The young winger has only made two substitute appearances for the reserves this campaign, and a handful in total, but was thrown into the Stadium of Light cauldron and reacted admirably.
Every time he got the ball he was willing to take his man on and, although he faded as the game wore on, he showed enough signs of a promising future at Ewood ahead of him.
