A FURIOUS Paul Ince has warned ‘don’t label us bully boys’ after launching a blistering post-match verbal attack on Ray Wilkins.

The Rovers boss was angry about some pre-match comments made by Chelsea’s assistant predicting a physical Ewood Park clash – with Ince accusing Wilkins of talking garbage.

A Nicolas Anelka double sealed a 2-0 victory for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s men yesterday afternoon, in a clash that was just 10 minutes from being abandoned due to rain.

While proud of his own players’ performance, Ince was involved in a heated exchange with Wilkins at the final whistle, claiming his side have been wrongly dubbed as over physical.

Wilkins’ comments that “the game will be one of aggression because that is what Blackburn are about with Paul Ince there”, left the Rovers boss fuming.

He said: “Ray Wilkins was saying yesterday he expected a physical game and I was an aggressive player so we were going to put it about.

“But he forgot to mention that we can also play football and I told him that in no uncertain terms. I think we proved that today.

“Of course I was a physical player but also you don’t play for the teams I played for if you are just a physical player.

“All the teams I have managed played football. So for him to come out with that garbage he said just before the game that we are going to try and put them on their asses and be over physical.

“We were not that today, we tried to play football and I just said to him next time you are going to say something make sure you get your facts right.

"And that was it.”
