STANLEY earned a FA Cup, first round replay after their goalless draw against Tranmere.

The Reds have keeper Kenny Arthur to thank for maintaining their interest in the competition after a string of great saves in the first half.

Two brave saves, from Ian Moore and Gareth Edds in the opening 45 minutes, were the pick of the bunch.

Stanley were reduced to efforts from distance from Jimmy Ryan and John Miles.

Chances were at a premium in the second half with Chris Shuker and Bas Savage spurning the best chances in the last 20 minutes.

The sides to battle again in the replay at Prenton Park on Tuesday, November 18.
