DARWEN are in cup action tomorrow but manager Dennis Hill admits he would much rather being playing another league game.
The in-form Salmoners travel to Premier Division side Atherton LR in the second round of the Vodkat League Cup on the back of four games unbeaten in the league.
“I would much rather be playing in the league than the cup,” said Hill.
“We are on a good run at the moment and I would prefer to use the momentum in the league.
“Atherton are in a higher division and doing well at the moment.
"So while there is no pressure on us, a big defeat could affect our progress in the league.”
