SYLVIA Hart has shown she is extra special when it comes to the Blackburn and District Amateur Cricket League.

For Sylvia was presented with the chairman’s special award for services to the league for her years of hard work behind the scenes.

The annual event was held at East Lancashire Cricket Club where individual and team feats on the pitch and hard work off it were rewarded.

Gujrat were the league’s top team after winning both the A Division and the Sports Council Cup.

Pick of the individual performers was Manzoor Siddique who scooped two batting awards.

The Blackburn Eagles batsman won the league’s batting award for amassing 429 runs with an average of 53.63 from his 12 innings.

And his unbeaten knock of 158 was good enough to win the David Pratt Bowling Award for the third time.
