BRYAN Hodge's stunning late lob completed his double and handed Rovers reserves a 2-1 win over Everton.
The Rovers midfielder played a one-two with Matt Derbyshire before lobbing Everton's goalkeeper in the 89th minute for the winner.
Hodge had earlier given the hosts the lead on 11 minutes when, after good approach play from Derbyshire, he struck a left footed shot into the corner.
Everton's James Vaughan equalised on 65 minutes but Hodge's late strike proved decisive.
Rovers second string saw Keith Treacy, Zurab Khizanishvili,Aaron Mokoena and Matt Derbyshire all start, while Robbie Fowler came on at half time.
