KEITH Andrews scored his first ever Premier League goal in the dying seconds at the Hawthorns to earn 10-man Blackburn Rovers a 2-2 draw.

The former MK Dons man struck from 25-yards to silence a vociferous home faithful and ensure referee Mike Jones' performance did not cost them all the points.

Benny McCarthy's controversial 36th minute sending off looked like proving the key moment as Ishmael Miller completed West Brom's second half come back.

McCarthy had earlier put Blackburn Rovers ahead from the penalty spot but, after his dismissal, goals from Roman Bednar and Miller after the break looked set to give the Baggies a 2-1 victory.

The South African saw red for two first half bookings, the second of which was just one of a string of bizarre refereeing decisions from Mike Jones.

After being cautioned for a trip, McCarthy received his second yellow for handball- to the amazement of the entire Hawthorns.

Roman Bednar equalised for the Baggies on 55, when he calmly slotted home Ishmael Miller's pass from 10 yards, from what looked an offside position.

Miller then put the hosts ahead seven minutes later, brilliantly turning Ryan Nelsen before firing home from 20 yards.

Rovers' 10-men were up against it after the break with Ishmael Miller hitting a post, Ryan Nelsen clearing against his own woodwork and Robert Koren having a long-range strike parried by Paul Robinson.

Rovers had their chances though as well, Roberts having a strike hacked off the line, Emerton hitting a 25-yard free-kick just over the bar and Chris Samba heading just wide.

McCarthy had earlier fired Rovers into a half time lead from the penalty spot after Ryan Donk was penalised for a tug on Jason Roberts.
