CHRIS Eagles scored twice in four minutes to make it seven wins from the last nine games at Turf Moor.
Burnley had to wait until the second half to be rewarded for dominating possession and chances, but Eagles finished off the Canaries in impressive style with his third and fourth goals of the season.
Steven Thompson missed arguably the best openings before the break, when he hit the post in a one-on-one with goalkeeper David Marshall, before firing over an open goal from a tight angle.
Clarke Carlisle also had two efforts cleared off the line after Robbie Blake, who had been restored to the starting line-up, created an opening in his 500th career league game.
But it was full steam ahead in the second half as Eagles broke the deadlock with a composed finish from Chris McCann's throughball 10 minutes after the re-start.
He doubled the lead before the hour mark courtesy of Blake's assist from Graham Alexander's quickly taken free kick.
