ACCRINGTON Stanley produced a decent performance as they drew at seventh-placed Dagenham and Redbridge this afternoon.

The Reds had chances to secure all three points, with Paul Mullin denied by Daggers keeper Tony Roberts from point-blank range after Phil Edwards’ 69th-minute effort from 25 yards had been parried.

Dagenham could also have broken the deadlock in the second half but Paul Benson failed to get a proper connection on Matt Ritchie’s cross when he should have scored and Mark Arber could only turn the ball tamely into Kenny Arthur’s hands from five yards on the hour mark.

Magnus Okuonghae and Mark Nwokeji also missed chances for the hosts in the closing stages when they each headed narrowly wide.

John Miles and Jimmy Ryan both hit the post for Stanley in the first half and the Reds defended well throughout, although sodden conditions did not aid their passing game after the interval.
