ACCRINGTON Stanley were twice denied by the post during a goalless first half at Dagenham and Redbridge.
John Miles cut inside and fired a shot against the outside of the far post from the corner of the area in the 13th minute, while Jimmy Ryan’s 20-yard grass-cutter rebounded off the same upright five minutes before half time.
Ryan also fired across the face of goal when he should have turned in Miles’ cross at the far post at the end of the half, while Paul Benson blazed over from an angle for the hosts in a late flurry of chances at a wet Victoria Road.
