NEIL Reynolds insists his injury-hit Clitheroe side are desperate to continue their FA Trophy fairytale tomorrow when they host former Football League opponents Boston United at Shawbridge.

The Blues booked their second qualifying round tie after dumping out Bradford Park Avenue with one of their best performances in years.

However, Clitheroe are depleted after having five players taken off with injury and illness in last weekend’s 4-0 defeat at Halifax.

Ryan Fisher (hamstring) and Anthony Johnson (concussion) are among those struggling, but the club’s woes have not curbed manager Reynolds’ enthusiasm for another giant-killing.

He said: “The fact we are playing Halifax and Boston in consecutive weeks just shows how far this club has come in the last 12 months.

“Everyone knows Boston were in League Two a couple of seasons ago – it’s a big test for us.

“But we can’t wait for 2pm tomorrow when we have our little team-talk – the lads will be buzzing.

“I really hope the town gets behind us and gives us their full support.”
