DARWEN boss Dennis Hill is on a Christmas countdown as he aims to catapult his side in to the top six by the end of the festive period.

The Salmoners currently lie in 12th place but are unbeaten in four games – and victory at home to Leek CSOB tomorrow will push them further towards that goal.

“Everything is slotting in to place at the moment,” said Hill.

“I know we are in 12th place but the league is very tight.

"A couple of wins soon gets you up the table and I want to see us in the top six by Christmas.”

Darwen have brought in former Stockport Country trainee Craig Flowers who had a brief trial spell at Accrington Stanley earlier this season.
