ACCRINGTON Stanley expect Leam Richardson to make his long-awaited return to the squad for Saturday’s trip to Dagenham and Redbridge – but both he and Peter Cavanagh may have to be content with seats on the bench.
Richardson has been out of action since August with a pelvic injury but the defender was due to join Cavanagh, who is on the way back from an Achilles problem, in the reserves at Blackpool last night before coming into contention for Saturday.
Bobby Grant should return to training next week after a knee injury.
The Reds expect to have Blackburn striker Jamie Clarke available for next Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Tranmere but are still not sure whether fellow loanees Rostyn Griffiths, Kieran Charnock and Kallum Higginbotham will be allowed to play.
Terry Gornell is on loan from Tranmere so will not figure.
If Griffiths misses the cup tie, the Dagenham clash will prove to be the last game of his second month on loan but Stanley hope to extend that deal into a third month.
