CLASH: Rovers scorer Brett Emerton pulls no punches as he challenges Villa’s Nigel Reo-Coker
BRETT Emerton's late strike was scant consolation for Rovers as they went down 3-2 to Aston Villa.
Stephen Warnock had given Rovers a 30th-minute lead but Luke Young's goal in first-half stoppage time swung the balance in Villa's favour.
Goals from Gareth Barry and Gabriel Agbonlahor gave Villa lead before Emerton curled a free-kick into the top corner deep into stoppage time.
