PADIHAM could give their promotion challenge a major boost with victory at Cheadle Town tomorrow.
The Storks clinched a 2-1 home victory against AFC Blackpool on Wednesday night and have won their last five matches to move themselves into fifth position in the Vodkat League First Division.
And they could make a real statement about their promotion chances if they could win at Cheadle, who are currently third with two more points than Padiham.
Tom Bradley put the Storks ahead against AFC Blackpool and, although the visitors equalised, Chris Ridehalgh scored the winner.
Anthony McCluskey and AFC Blackpool’s Dax Hoogerwerf were both sent off for violent conduct, while Padiham boss Graham Haworth was also banished from the touchline for disputing a decision.
