HOLLY Lam-Moores has helped Great Britain to glory in the Four Nations Handball Tournam-ent.

The Burnley-born teenager scored four goals in three games as GB topped the table in a competition that also included Turkey, Latvia and the Faroe Islands.

The 17-year-old scored in a convincing 22-13 win over Turkey in the opening match off the three day tournament which was held in Sheffield.

The left winger then played an instrumental part in a narrow 25-20 win over Latvia as GB made it two wins out of two.

And while they lost 16-15 defeat to the Faroe Islands in their final game, Lam-Moores was on target again which proved to be vital as GB won the tournament on goal difference after being tied with Latvia on four points.

Lam-Moores, who started playing the sport at Haslingden Handball Club, is just one of a number of East Lancashire players who are involved with the Great Britain set-up.

Younger sister Chloe is in the national squad as is Paige Garvey from Rossendale who missed out on the Four Nations Tournament after fracturing her cheekbone and eye at the GB training base in Aarhus, Denmark.

Victory for Team GB is a welcome boost and shows how far the squad as come since finishing fourth in the European Challenge Trophy in Cyprus last March.
