ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman is hoping to have defender Leam Richardson back in contention soon.

The 28-year-old hasn’t featured since August after being sidelined with stomach and groin injuries.

But Coleman is hoping to have his utility man back as the Reds face a punishing schedule of seven games in just over a month.

He said: “Leam’s probably a week away. He’s getting the confidence back to sprint now and that’s all that’s holding him back.

"He’s got through a couple of sessions and been okay the next day, which is important.

“He might take part in a reserve game this week and then maybe push on for next week.”
