COLNE are hoping to have Bamber Bridge defender Krystian Liptrot on loan for the visit of high-flying Newcastle Town.
The centre back had an impressive debut in last weekend’s 1-0 win at Abbey Hey — Colne’s first clean sheet in the league this season.
“Krystian had a good debut for us and I am hoping to have him for the Newcastle game,” said manager Nigel Coates.
“We’ve been scoring plenty of goals this season but we have been conceding a lot too. We have worked hard on tightening up our defence so I am delighted to have kept a clean sheet.”
Colne, currently 16th in the Vodkat Premier League, have plenty of games in hand over some of their nearest rivals.
