Blackburn midfielder Steven Reid will miss the rest of the season after suffering another knee problem.
The Republic of Ireland international will need surgery on his knee and is expected to be out for six or seven months.
Reid, 27, missed the 2006-7 season with knee and back injuries, and with David Dunn also out for the long term, manager Paul Ince’s central midfield options are limited for tomorrow’s trip to Bolton in the Barclays Premier League.
