ROVERS' midfielder Brett Emerton scored twice for Australia earlier today in a 4-0 win over Qatar.
Everton’s Tim Cahill was also on target.
The Aussies are now firmly in pole position of the Asian group one as the race to qualify for South Africa 2010 continues.
Emerton will now face a long trip back to England in time for Saturday's away game at Bolton.
