Lancashire have been drawn to face holders Essex in the group stage of the 2009 Friends Provident Trophy.
The Red Rose county, who failed to progress beyond the group stage in 2008, will also face Glamorgan, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.
Lancashire will play each team home and away, with the top two in the group going on to the quarter finals.
