John Eustace was full of praise for Tyrhys Dolan after the winger helped Rovers come out on top against Leeds United.
Dolan impressed throughout the contest against the Yorkshire outfit and his tricky dribbling earned the penalty which Todd Cantwell stuck away for the winner.
The youngster also showed some promising signs during the win at Middlesbrough several days prior, and Eustace hailed his strong work ethic.
“Ty was outstanding, he is a fantastic young player,” said the head coach. “He has a lot of games under his belt and there is a lot of pressure on him to perform.
“When we were playing him in that 10 role, coming in for Sammie (Szmodics), that might have been playing on his mind a little bit. But the way he has taken to his task over the last couple of games has been outstanding.
“His work rate, endeavour and quality is there for everyone to see and I am really pleased for him.
“There were glimpses against Middlesbrough when he was very positive with his actions, which was really pleasing. (On Saturday) I thought he was top drawer and one of the best players on the pitch.”
Former Rovers star Kevin Gallacher, who was on commentary duties at Ewood Park, was also impressed by Dolan's contributions as Eustace's men made it three successive wins in the Championship.
"He was brilliant," Gallacher told Radio Lancashire. "I am still looking for a bit more positivity from him at times but his work rate was outstanding. He got the penalty and he thoroughly deserved it.
“When you are watching Blackburn Rovers on the counter attack, they are dangerous. They have learnt to defend in numbers.
"It will be interesting to see when lesser teams come here and don’t press as much as Leeds United. That will be the difference in how much these players can learn.
"But the work rate, the desire and what they are showing for the manager is just phenomenal.
"That is two games in a row I have seen them get battered possession-wise but the desire to get into the opposition half, little bits of skill from individuals and that is what wins them the game.”
