Arnor Sigurdsson has suffered a fresh injury setback but Amario Cozier-Duberry and Owen Beck will return for Blackburn Rovers against Portsmouth.

John Eustace was hopeful of having all three injured players back in his squad at the weekend but Sigurdsson has picked up another problem in training.

The Icelandic forward was ruled out with a thigh injury but has now injured his calf. That will rule him out for the weekend and the trip to Middlesbrough, with Leeds United a possible return date.

"Siggy picked up a slight knock in training. It's been a really frustrating period for Siggy. We've seen that moment of quality against Oxford, he showed it last season as well.

"He tweaked his calf so he won't be available for the weekend, he did that on Monday. Hopefully, possibly, he'll be back at the end of next week but we will have to see.

"He got injured at the end of the season and coming back, he hasn't been able to get back up to speed. It's been a very frustrating period for him and for me. I hope he gets fit as soon as he can because he has match-winning quality."

Balazs Toth withdrew from international duty with Hungary due to an ankle issue. Eustace says he is still being assessed but confirmed that Cozier-Duberry and Beck will return to the squad.

"Amario has joined back in this week which is great. We have Owen Beck back in as well which is great, Ty is back from suspension," Eustace said.

"We've got some bodies back now which is very important. We have a huge run of games, 23 until the next international break so it's important we have as many as possible as they'll need to play a huge part.

"Balazs picked up a slight knock last week when he was away as well. We're assessing him and we'll see what happens there."

The on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion winger has missed the last month of games with an ankle problem. It came when he was on the cusp of a first Championship start.

Eustace believes he will be a welcome addition to his options but insists he must also not be rushed back.

"The way he started, it was very good and showed glimpses of quality, that's why we brought him here.

"Unfortunately he got injured at a very difficult moment for him. He's worked really hard in the last three or four weeks to get back. Now, he's in a good place.

"He's trained all week and the lads have been buzzing to have him in the fold. We're pleased he's part of the group and he will be an exciting player for this group.

"It's important not to rush him too quickly, he's been out for four weeks. We have three games this week and we will try to get him involved in all of those. When I feel it's the right time to start him, I'll put him in when everyone is ready and he's fit and strong enough to cope with it."
