Lewis Travis has been enjoying, arguably, the best season of his Blackburn Rovers career. But he is not shouting about it himself.
The captain has been instrumental since returning to the club in the summer after a messy January loan exit. It was a sorry situation, with Jon Dahl Tomasson leaving a little more than a month after Travis was sent to play out the season in Ipswich Town colours.
He would have been invaluable for John Eustace in his fight to keep the team up. When he returned in the summer, Travis was intent on sticking around this time, if he felt he was wanted. Summer interest was rebuffed by both Rovers and the player.
Eustace reinstated him as captain and he's started every Championship game this term. Many have commented that he's 'a different player' after returning from a promotion-winning spell in Suffolk.

Travis has shown much more of his creative side. He was heavily involved in both goals at Cardiff before the international break. The second, a defence-splitting through ball to fashion an easy tap-in for Andi Weimann.
But Travis is always keen to take the focus to the team. He has also been quick to praise Sondre Tronstad, his equally reliable partner, for his role in the thriving midfield set-up.
“I’m in the position I feel I’ve always wanted to play, a holding midfielder alongside someone," he said.
“In the past, I’ve probably been used as a number 10, and there’s never ever been a chance I’ve been a number 10!
“I’ve probably played in central midfield all my life and I have a lot of energy, so I don’t mind bursting past opponents from there.
“I feel at home and, alongside me, Sonny [Tronstad] has been fantastic, just like everyone has.
“I feel really good, the lads are looking really good and we’re looking like a strong team this season.
“We need to keep working, get more clinical and we’ll be right up there come the end of the season.”
Tronstad does a lot of the dirty work in midfield. He's incredibly intelligent and some at Rovers still feel he is underrated. He is, without doubt, the biggest success story from Rovers' last four transfer windows.
The durability, reliability and destructive nature of the pair has made them undroppable. Travis is often the one with a little more license to press higher up the pitch, which has encouraged his creative side to blossom. He has already scored twice in the league, having never notched more than two in his senior career.
It is remarkable to think the pair had barely played together before pre-season. Then again, it's not every year you have a generational talent in your ranks.
Sadly, the understated work of the duo means Blackburn Rovers' pair may not win much league-wide recognition. But they are the most vital partnership in Eustace's well-oiled machine.
At some point, the head coach will have to rotate one of them, with a four-month slog until the next international break approaching. It will be interesting to see when and where he chooses that moment.
