Blackburn Rovers have seven players away on international duty with Yuki Ohashi hopeful of making his Japan debut.

The forward was called into his second camp with the national team ahead of their World Cup Qualifiers against Indonesia and China.

Andi Weimann is also away with Austria, fresh off his two goals at Cardiff. The forward will be hoping for minutes as they play Kazakhstan away and Slovenia at home to round-off their Nations League group.

"It’s an honour going away with my country still at 33," he said post-win in Wales.

It’s a short turnaround because we play on Thursday and then Sunday.
“It’ll be tough, but if we win both games then we can get promoted in the Nations League, which would be good.

“The squad we have is full of really good players and I think pretty much everyone in there plays for big teams.

“The Euros saw us surprise, we did really well and could have probably got a little bit further. There’s a feel-good factor around Austrian football at the moment.”

Balazs Toth will be away with Hungary whilst Owen Beck had to pull out from Wales duty due to the back injury that's seen him miss Rovers' last two games. There remains an expectation that he'll be available for Portsmouth next time out.

Leo Duru (USA, U20) and Nick Michalski (England, U18) are also away, as are North Ireland Under-19 duo Tom Atcheson and Aodhan Doherty.
