John Eustace has emphasised the importance of Blackburn Rovers' supporters and urged more to come and support the team at Ewood Park.

Rovers host Sheffield United on Saturday, an early kick-off, with their unbeaten Championship home record on the line. Blades will undoubtedly be a tough test but Rovers have matched West Brom and Watford in the last two games, even if they haven't won.

Chris Wilder's side are another who will undoubtedly be in the hunt for promotion. They have lost their last two away games but beat Stoke City comfortably last weekend.

Eustace wants Rovers to maintain their unbeaten run at Ewood Park and stressed the importance of the supporters.

"I think it's there for everyone to see," he said on the commitment levels of his group.

"There will be some good performances, some bad performances. It's very easy to get negative about not winning away from home, not scoring in the last few games, or getting the right team.

"But it's about the squad, about the group and about this club building not short-term but long-term. We're making huge strides forward and it's very important everyone is on board.

"It's worth vital points, home and away, having that vital togetherness. The most important thing is that the fans are together with the players because they make a huge difference as well.

"They have been right with the team this season. Against West Brom, at the start of that second half, they got right behind the group and you could feel the difference around the place.

"We want even more through the turnstiles to really support the team, home and away. It's a group effort, not about individual players or the manager. It's about this football club being a family and I think we're getting to where we need to be."

Sheffield United are fourth after a dozen games but would be second had they not been deducted two points before a ball was kicked. Despite a rather traumatic relegation from the Premier League last term, they have bounced back strongly.

Eustace knows it will be another tough test against a top side but is confident his team can match anyone on their own turf.

"They're a fantastic squad, they have a good manager and a great group of players there.," he added on Sheffield United's threats.

"They have recruited some top talent in the Championship. I'm sure they will be in the top six, the same as some of the other teams we have played recently.

"I only try and worry about us and how we go about our business and I've been very pleased with the last couple of games.

"We're full of confidence and looking forward to the game. The league has always had the top teams in it, you can't worry about that or wish you had different resources. I'm very happy with my group of players.

"It should be an exciting game, two good teams. We're going up against a team with Premier League experience, that is expected to be promoted.

"It will be a good marker to see where we are."
