John Eustace will be forced into one change at Watford with Hayden Carter unavailable with a knee injury.
The Blackburn Rovers defender limped off on Wednesday night against West Brom. The full extent of that issue is not known but it's incredibly unlikely he will be involved at Vicarage Road.
Danny Batth will come into the side having done so as a substitute against the Baggies. Kyle McFadzean is expected to return from a hand injury to take his place on the bench.
Harry Pickering is another who could be rotated into the side. Owen Beck has started the last two games but with the games coming quickly, the Liverpool loanee may be taking out of the firing line for a more experienced option.
Similarly, Ryan Hedges hasn't started three matches in a week for a long period. He got the nod against West Brom but Andi Weimann could take his place at Vicarage Road, as he did on the hour-mark on Wednesday.
The dilemma is whether Todd Cantwell can go again after his first successive starts. Arnor Sigurdsson could come in for what would be his first Championship start of the season.
Lewis Baker is another that could play off the left, or in the ten role if Tyrhys Dolan shifted wide. Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad are likely to be asked to go again in the centre of midfield.
Up front, it's a toss-up between Yuki Ohashi and Makhtar Gueye but I think the Japanese forward will lead the line once more.
Predicted Rovers team: Pears; Rankin-Costello, Batth, Hyam, Pickering; Travis, Tronstad; Weimann, Dolan, Baker; Ohashi.
