Rovers boss John Eustace insists it is a squad game as the fixtures come thick and fast in the Championship.
It is a tight turnaround between Wednesday night’s goalless draw against West Brom and Saturday’s clash with Watford in the capital (12.30pm).
Rovers found themselves light in some areas last term but brought in a number of new additions over the summer.
Eustace was tight-lipped over whether he might shake things up against the Hornets but maintains that every member of his squad will have a role to play over the course of the campaign.
“We will just get the lads rested and ready to go,” he said. “Obviously, it is about the squad so hopefully we can make a few changes and freshen it up a little bit.
“It isn’t ideal, Wednesday night and then travelling to London on the Friday for an early kick-off. I went to the Leeds game to watch Watford play.
“They are very solid and a good, experienced team. They are very good at home as well, it will be an interesting game.”
There were more positives to take from the display against the Baggies as Rovers extended their unbeaten run at Ewood Park.
Eustace has been encouraged by his side’s progress in recent months but believes there is still more to come.
“We started the second half very well and had a couple of decent chances, which was pleasing,” the head coach added.
“I think we are improving all the time with the ball and there were times where we were very good.
“There are times we need to improve still but the most important thing is that we are very competitive and hard to play against, and I thought we gave West Brom a real good game.”
Joe Rankin-Costello retained his place at right-back on Wednesday night and showed promising signs going forward, coming close to breaking the deadlock on a couple of occasions.
“The more that you get a settled team, the more they understand it is there,” Eustace continued.
“There were some real good patterns of play today and on Saturday. There is a lot of work ahead and we just have to keep working hard.”
