West Brom will be without the services of Mason Holgate against Blackburn Rovers.

The on-loan Everton defender picked up an injury away on international duty with Jamaica during the break. As a result, he will miss the trip to Ewood Park on Wednesday night and won't be risked.

"In his last game with the national team with Jamaica, he felt something in the quad. It doesn't look very serious, but from the day of the scan it looks like he will be out for one week," Carlos Corberan said.

"Holgate is in the same situation as the previous game. He wants to put himself ready, but it would be a risk to increase an injury that is small, with no sense, so he will stay in the same situation and all of the other players are fine for now."

Rovers and Baggies have identical records; won five, drawn three and lost two. Whilst John Eustace's side have a perfect home record in the Championship, the WBA have done well on the road too.

"I think both teams are in the same positions in the table because we are doing very similar things," Corberan said when asked about their next opponents.

"Just imagine if you could have the same record away as at home! This is football. You can be watching five wins out of five at home or away and you get the same points.

"We have 18 points both teams. They have drawn games away, five wins at home. This is one of things that I say, in football, one team is normally stronger at home, it is more difficult when you play away, we know that.

"I divide the competition into five, nine games, nine games, ten games, nine games, nine games. We will be playing six games away in this block of nine games and only three at home in this 20% of the competition.

"We know that is a massive challenge for us mentally. I am watching the team facing the away challenge better than before. It's tough especially when you're playing a team with five wins from five."
